YE JEWELLED SOUL
Whilst you walk, ye mortal beast,
spend a thought for those deceased,
for they have suffered as mortals do,
Whilst you run, you threatened kind,
do not waste this given time,
put foot to step in having fun,
for sure, your end will come.
So I say to you, ye jewelled soul,
do not be glum, but bright and bold.
Do not be grey, but coloured vast,
a grand display, until your last.
And as you pray to Him above,
To hope to feel, His Holy love,
Then know, a mortal creatures plight,
Is gifted by immortal light.
And when, for you, the end is near,
I say this truth, lest that ye fear,
Do not fight lifes given breath,
For a new life begins in death.
And onward heaven marching souls,
For our delight are given goals,
For our deep needs, and hopes of love,
Bring earthward light, from God above.
