MOONLIT CORRIDORS

I like to feel the wind upon my fingertips,
as I walk along moonlit corridors,
with my imagination scoring ballads to the sky,
for the crows and magpies,
and the bees and butterflies,
and the clouds which pass me by,
so that I may fly, forever high,
way up in that silver sky.

I like to feel the waves beneath my feet,
as I wade within the oceans inky deep,
and serenade the currents toss and sway,
treading water, to keep those depths at bay,
so that dwelling dark, may not pull me down,
to where the spark is lost, and never found.

So I praise my waking from the night,
and the rising chorus of dawn in flight,
in mourning for the warming sun,
their song, a brand new day has come!

I like to recite poems to the sky,
to the stars, up high, where angels fly,
and dance away the night upon Heavens window sill,
sprinkling sparkled dust, so the skies can fill
with the golden light, of another day,
so that we may hope it shines our way,
and finds our hearts, full of the love,
which only comes from God, above.

So I narrate my songs and stories loud,
in projection to the sky and clouds!
